Gail Mauthe - English | Writing | Study Skills

Hello, I have worked at Goodwin University for 5 years. I started as an adjunct professor teaching the IDA class and have been an English tutor in the ASC for 4 years. I work at Cheshire Academy full time and teach Psychology there. I have been helping students with their writing throughout my 30 years as a teacher and counselor. I look forward to helping you find the confidence you need to be a good writer and to work with you on your many assignments.

Ryan Corthouts - English/Writing

Hello,  I have worked in the ASC for four years and have been helping students from the 6th grade through college improve their writing.  In addition to working as an English/Writing tutor at Goodwin I also teach 6th grade Language Arts.  I am very passionate about reading and writing and I look forward to reading your writing.

Mike Bailey - English | Writing Tutor | U.S. History

I have been a professional English tutor at Goodwin since 2011, and I have been learning from students as I journey along with them, finding strengths and remedying weak spots. I have taught high school English, as well as adult GED students, but my mainstay has been working as an adjunct Composition professor at Manchester Community College since 1999.

Pat Albers - English | Writing | Study Skills | Test Preparation

I have a bachelor’s degree in Literature with minors in sociology and anthropology. I have been tutoring college students in English and writing for 10 yrs. including college classroom experience. I am also certified in reading and writing for ESL students (TESOL). My tutoring philosophy is simple: I believe that tutoring should help and always encourage students to become independent and confident learners.

I’ve been with Goodwin since 2017 employed as a Professional Tutor and English Adjunct. I teach writing at the community college as well.
