By the end of Module 2: Students will be able to:
- Identify the steps of evidence based practice
- Develop a foreground question using the PICO (T) elements
- Recognize the hierarchical nature of the health sciences literature, ranging from background information, letters and case reports to systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and pre-appraised sources
- Recognize strategies for filtering search results to retrieve research conducted using high quality methodologies
- Understand the need to critically appraise published research, and recognize the specialized tools for appraisal
