Nursing Information Literacy Tutorial

The Hoffman Family Library of Goodwin University provides support for nursing students completing course assignments and research projects. Using library services and resources will help you successfully achieve your learning objective and prepare you to use information resources in your professional careers.

The following self-paced tutorial will provide you with information and resources to help you develop your research skills and learn about library services to support your educational activities.

The goals of this tutorial are:

  • Provide nursing students, educators, and practicing nurses with an instructional tool for online resources
  • Promote competency in information literacy fundamentals (Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education).
  • Complement classroom instruction with learning modules for distance/remote users.

This tutorial consists of modules designed by your Embedded Librarian (Cynthia Hunt) to present information literacy skills that are basic for academic research. You can learn at your own pace by working through sections consecutively or skip around to specific modules.
