Goodwin University’s Humanities Festival was first conceived and hosted in 2015 by Dr. Allan Ballinger, a previous Director of Humanities and an accomplished cellist with the group, Cuatro Puntos. The original festival themed, “The Present Moment,” was designed to promote and celebrate art, music, and literature at a career-focused institution. The work showcased poetry, musical improvisation, and original compositions created by students and faculty/staff. It also served as a wonderful community event. Since then, subsequent Directors of Humanities at Goodwin University have been proud to keep the tradition going.
