Choosing a topic

Interest

  • Choose something you are interested in! The research and the writing process will go smoother if you are actually interested in your topic! 

Too broad vs too narrow

  • If your topic is too narrow, you may have a problem finding sources!
    • For example: Cancer and New Britain, CT  
  • If your topic is too broad you may become overwhelmed by the amount of information you find
    • For example: Cancer
