Supports the celebration of Black History Month each February.
Aretha Franklin (1942-2018) was known as the "Queen of Soul." She was one of the greatest American singers known for her gospel, blues style of singing and the powerful messages for social change. During her career Franklin received 18 Grammy awards, a lifetime achievement award, had 88 Billboard chart hits, and was the first woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
