What is Academic Writer?

Academic Writer is a resource produced by the American Psychological Association. It provides all the tools necessary to create properly formatted references and papers. Individual user accounts are not needed to access the Learning Center, but they are required to create and save papers and references.

Having technical difficulty?

Neither Goodwin's IT department nor the library staff, can help you with certain technical problems you may encounter.

  1. If you cannot login and are receiving a password error, you must click the link to "Retrieve your password." That will generate an email with a password reset. It is important to make note of your password and to remember which email account you used when you created your account. We strongly encourage you to use your Goodwin student email.
  2. If you feel the site is not working properly, and you are not using Internet Explorer, you must use the Academic Writer contact information found at the bottom of their website. You can call 800-374-2722 Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, or you can email academicwriter@apa.org. Your email will typically receive a response within 24 hours.
